Gold Price  

India has a high rate of consumption of yellow metal, and gold is more than just an investment choice for its citizens. Furthermore, Dubai has long been a popular choice for Indians looking to purchase gold. 

Gold prices rose to Rs 39,325 per 10 grams at the bullion market in New Delhi. The rupee opened on a cautious note and fell 20 paise to 71.22 against the US dollar in early trade on Wednesday.

Gold price set another all-time high, continuing its record streak as it neared Rs, 40,000. Silver too was on the up as it soared Rs 2,110 to Rs 48,850 per kg
 

Tracking the movement of gold, silver prices also rose by Rs 110 to Rs 39,200 per kg on higher uptake by coin makers and industrial units.
 

In 2005, the state government took up a project which would have seen the building of a golden chariot for the Kukke Subrahmanya temple. The chariot which would have cost Rs 15 crore to build then comes at a cost of Rs 80 crore considering the prevailing gold price.
