Fugitive  

A lower court in Gujarat on Thursday declared fugitive diamantaire Nirav Modi as a "proclaimed absconder" in a customs duty evasion case filed in March. The court also ordered him to appear in person on November 15.

Sources said officers of the enforcement directorate got a tip-off from the airport officials as there was a lookout notice against Kulkarni. He apparently arrived in Calcutta from Hong Kong.

Naik's extradition is pending with the Malaysian government as they are yet to take a decision on the matter. He is wanted on terror and money laundering charges and left India in July, 2016
