Forest department officials took almost nine hours to capture the rogue elephant named Chinnathambi.

 

The body of the elephant has been retrieved from the dam in Tirupur, Tamil Nadu. The forest department has planned to bury the elephant near the dam, after the postmortem. 

Speaking to MyNation, Nawab Shafath Ali  Khan said that the forest department made all the arrangements to safeguard tigress Avni. But, in a jungle, one cannot have control over the situation.
