Flood Hit State  

While North Karnataka and Maharashtra witnessed massive flooding due to the overflow of water from rivers, 41 Navy teams were deployed in difficult terrains in the flood-hit states

The GST council had permitted the state government to levy 1% cess on goods and services in Kerala to mobilise resources for rebuilding the flood-hit state.

According to Kochi-based Federal Bank, there are signs of a spurt in remittances already, with the banks remittance touching Rs 1,000 crore per week last fortnight, as against the usual average of Rs 700-800 crore.
 

 Kerala BJP president PS Sreedharan Pillai said that the Centre had provided Rs 15,000 crore aid to the flood-hit State but still it was complaining against the Narendra Modi  government.
