Firing  

For the second time in a row, Pakistan has violated ceasefire and resorted to heavy firing and shelling in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district. There was no immediate report of any casualty in the Pakistani firing.

Pakistan has resorted to mortar shelling and firing small arms in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir. The small arms firing and mortar shelling from across the LoC started in Krishna Ghati sector around 7:45 am on September 7.

A Pakistani commando, who was behind the capture of Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman when his IAF jet crashed in Pakistani territory in February this year, had reportedly been killed in LoC firing by Indian armed forces

In a bid to become famous, Faizan, of the Chandni Mahal had recorded a video in which he is seen firing a gun in the air. The video which was uploaded on TikTok was brought to the attention of police who arrested the 32-year-old man

 

In ceasefire violation, Pakistan troops targeted forward posts around 6.30 am that continued intermittently for several hours long the Line of Control in Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir. Rifleman Mohammad Atif Shafi Alam Khan Pathan succumbed to gunshot.

According to a defence spokesperson, Pakistani troops violated ceasefire by resorting to unprovoked mortar and small arms firing along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch, Jammu and Kashmir

The locals alleged that the deaths were because of police firing. Clashes broke out between two groups, suspected to be affiliated to the TMC and BJP, in the area on Thursday.
 

The deceased is identified as Nithin Padmanabhan, another person Kishore was also injured in the firing in Wayanad, Kerala. 

13 people were killed in the firing on May 22-23, 2018 when protesters were demanding the closure of Vedanta's Sterlite Copper unit. The anti-Sterlite protest turned violent, prompting the police to open fire.

 
 

According to the Navy official, the firing was undertaken on the Western Seaboard by Indian Naval Ships Kochi and Chennai wherein the missiles of both ships were controlled by one ship to intercept different aerial targets at extended ranges

According to senior officials, Pakistan has been violating ceasefire at least 10 times a day and targeting civilians. The move by Indian forces came a day after a BSF inspector and a five-year-old girl were killed and several others were injured after heavy shelling by Pakistan army in Poonch area.
