Endangered Species  

In response to the declining global vulture population, the Uttar Pradesh government has taken a significant step by establishing Asia's first vulture breeding center. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate the center on September 6th.

The world's bird population numbers about 10,000 species, many of which are in danger of going extinct. Previous estimates of the number of aves were substantially doubled by a University of Washington study.

The nests that Gurpreet installed some 16 years ago, have finally borne fruitful results. Almost 80 % of these nests are occupied with birds and 14 endangered species have returned to their original habitats. His organization Bird’s Environment and Earth Reviving Hands Society works for the wellbeing of these species.

Some 384 tigers have been killed in India in the last 10 years, as poaching pushes the endangered species toward extinction.
