The Karnataka unit of BJP held an event to protest the Emergency imposed on the country in the year 1975.

Mamata Banerjee has set the ball rolling once again with her tweet wherein she claims that for the past five years, the country has been reeling under ‘super emergency’. This on the day that marks 44 years since Emergency was imposed.
 

The declaration of Emergency on June 25, 1975 and the incidents that followed, mark as one of the darkest chapters in India's history, said Rajnath Singh. Emergency was imposed in India till  March 21, 1977.
