North West Delhi is a rural constituency with an approximate literacy rate of 83.35%. In 2014, there were 21,94,343 voters of which 12,12,516 were male, and 9,81,633 were female and 194 voters belonging to the third gender.

It is a rural constituency with an approximate literacy rate of 84%. In 2014, there were 19,57,708 voters of which 10,79,407 were male, 8,78,183 were female and 118 voters were of the third gender

After resigning from the post as Mizoram Governor, Kummanam Rajasekharan offered his prayers at the Sabarimala shrine in Kerala. As per the request of the RSS and the BJP, Rajasekharan relinquished his post to contest the Lok Sabha election in Thruvananthapuram, Kerala.
