Election Duty  

It is alleged that 33 police officers of Bekal Police Station in Kasaragod, who were on Lok Sabha election duty on April 23, were not allowed postal ballots. The Crime Branch special investigation team, which is probing the allegations, will submit an interim report to the Chief Electoral Offiicer Teeka Ram Meena
 

A Bengal cop was caught red handed buying lottery tickets even when he was on election duty and mandated to ensure a free and fair poll. When confronted by reporters, the cop became evasive and ran away. This is just a slice of the facade that elections have become in the state of Bengal. The state has seen unprecedented violence in the last three phases that continues even on Monday. Bengal is having a 7-phase polling this time.
