District Collectors  

The Election Commission has instructed the Kasaragod and Kannur district collectors to get ready for repolling. The repolling in the four booths, which include three booths from Kasaragod district and one booth from Kannur district, will happen on May 19. Repolling has been ordered as bogus voting was reported

Mere rain or drizzle will not be taken as cause to declare holiday anymore. The announcement requested schools to exercise extra caution in declaring holidays and inform the government before granting leave.

Chief minister Naveen Patnaik has directed the three district collectors to closely monitor the situation and shift the people living in vulnerable areas to safer places

Many district collectors in Kerala were noted for their selfless contribution in helping people and they were praised on social media too.
 

The district collectors have declared Monday (16 July) as a holiday for educational institutions in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Kottayam, Idukki, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Ernakulam and Thrissur
