Delhi Air quality severe as an AQI between 0-50 is considered 'good', 51-100 'satisfactory', 101-200 'moderate', 201-300 'poor', 301-400 'very poor' and 401-500 'severe'. Above 500 falls in the 'severe plus' category. German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who is on a visit to India, expressed concern over the air quality in Delhi.

'The Delhi government will forthwith deposit a sum of Rs 25 crore towards the cost of damage to the environment with the CPCB for restoration of the damage. We further direct that on failure to comply with this order, the Delhi government may be required to deposit at least Rs 10 crore per month till the order of this tribunal is fully executed,' the Bench said

In Punjab, the number of recorded incidents rose to 42,126 till November 11, compared with 42,051 in the same period of 2017. In Haryana, 7,454 incidents were reported so far, compared with 9,508 in 2017.
