Birmingham: After India’s unbeaten run at the ICC World Cup 2019 was halted by hosts England on Sunday (June 30), there were lot of questions about India’s batting in the first 10 overs and the final six. MS Dhoni and Kedar Jadhav were criticised for not showing intent to go for big shots in the final six overs while chasing 338. In the post-match press conference, Rohit Sharma, who hit a century, explained why India batted like that and Dhoni, Jadhav in particular. Some called Dhoni-Jadhav’s batting as “bizarre”.
