Different firecracker regulations are in effect across India for Diwali. Some states have a complete ban, while others permit green crackers. 

The holy city of Varanasi is preparing to celebrate Dev Deepawali with grandeur. On November 15, the ghats of Varanasi will be decorated with more than 12 lakh diyas. The illumination will be accompanied by a laser show and green fireworks.

Diwali special: Tamil Nadu government, following a direction by the Supreme Court on fixing two hours per day to burst crackers, had announced that people can burst firecrackers only between 6 AM to 7 AM and 7 PM to 8 PM.
