Cow Slaughter  

 To protect cows and prevent their slaughter, the Uttar Pradesh government on Tuesday approved a draft ordinance, providing a maximum rigorous imprisonment of 10 years and a fine up to Rs 5 lakh
 

According to the police, the matter is under investigation and cops are trying to get a lead about the killing of cows. So far, cops have confirmed that information was received that two dead cows were lying near Jheel Wala park in East Delhi

Anand Kumar, ADG (law and order), said that the state government has set up a multi-member SIT to probe the various angles that might be involved in the incident in Bulandshahr and called for the submission of the intelligence report
