Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu met with Congress president Rahul Gandhi in the national capital on Thursday. After the meeting, Naidu said, 'This is a democratic compulsion.' A BJP leader said to MyNation that the operative word in Naidu's statement was 'compulsion'.

Pinarayi Vijayan, Kerala chief minister, through a Facebook post, appreciated Rahul Gandhi’s stand on the Sabarimala issue and also observed the difference in opinion between the central leaders and the state leaders of the Congress.
