Janata Dal Secular, JD(S) continues to express an interest in alliance with the Congress, despite engaging in mudslinging during their term. Deve Gowda hinted he was open for an alliance with the Congress in 17 assembly constituencies.
 

The Congress-JD(S) alliance partners called for a meeting to inform people about their achievements after the Karnataka government completed its one-year term. While Kumaraswamy said that farm loan waiver was one of their noted achievements, BJP quashed the chief minister's claims.
