After being appointed as the minister for parliamentary affairs and coal and mines, Pralhad Joshi arrived in Hubballi, Karnataka. He was a give a grand welcome. The minister also used this occasion to urge Karnataka chief minister Kumaraswamy and water resources minister Shivakumar to resolve the issue amicably

 

Karnataka chief minister Kumarasamy, with an obvious bid to placate a seething Ramesh Jarkiholi, has offered him a ministry.  But sources add that Ramesh is unwilling to meet him

Pralhad Joshi, the minister for Parliamentary affairs and coal and mines was felicitated at the BJP office in Bengaluru. Several bigwigs including Ravikumar, the state general secretary and Lehar Singh, BJP MLC were present on the occasion

"Our leaders have instructed me not to involve in any move that will scuttle the government in the state," said Karnataka BJP president Yeddyurappa after a meeting with BJP leaders in Delhi.

Congress-JD(S) leaders held a meeting to discuss new names for cabinet expansion. Three leaders; two from JD(S) and one from Congress will be inducted to fill three vacant spots

It looks like that BJP is in no hurry in Karnataka. Rather than precipitate a crisis in the ruling combine in the state, the BJP seems to be ready to bide its time as it feels that the coalition-led Karnataka government would fall on its own.
 

This statement by the BJP leader came a day after the coalition government on Friday (May 24) reposed its "faith and confidence" in the leadership of Kumaraswamy

Congressman Krishna Byre Gowda said that BJP is back with Operation Kamala after Lok Sabha elections. He stressed the need for the coalition members in Karnataka to stay strong.

Karnataka deputy chief minister G Parameshwara declared on Friday that the Lok Sabha elections would not affect the coalition government in Karnataka and that Kumaraswamy would continue as the CM for a full five-year term

UDF’s Adoor Prakash broke the coalition’s 30-year jinx after he won against LDF’s A Sampath by a margin of 38,247 votes.
