Chinmayanand  

The Supreme Court granted an interim stay on Allahabad high court order on former BJP member Chinmayanand, allowing him to access certified copy of the rape accuser’s statements.  On September 21, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) had arrested Chinmayanand and sent him to jail. The law student was also booked on alleged charges of extortion against Chinmayanand.

The accused in the Shahjahanpur rape case, Chinmayanand will be in judicial custody till October 30. The court had earlier sent the former Union minister to judicial custody till October 16. Chinmayanand was arrested on September 20 following which he was sent to judicial custody.

Former Uttar Pradesh minister from the BJP, Chinmayanand, who is accused of raping a law student will be produced before a court in the state via video conferencing. He had earlier been admitted to Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences. 

The bail plea of former Union minister Swami Chinmayanand, against whom a law student had levelled rape charges, has been rejected. Chinmayanand who was admitted to Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences has been discharged. The bail plea of his accuser who is arrested on charges of extortion has also been rejected.

The Special investigation team (SIT) that is currently probing the Shahjahanpur rape case said that the law student was arrested after she affirmed that she demanded Rs 5 crore as extortion money from Swami Chinmayanand. The matter came to light on Wednesday (Sept 26). 

The 23-year-old law student who had accused BJP leader Chinmayanand of rape, has been arrested by a special team probing the case. The arrest was made on charges of extortion. 

The law student who had accused BJP leader Swami Chinmayanand of rape has been handed over to SIT and the Allahabad high court has refused to grant stay with respect to her arrest. Meanwhile, on September 23, Chinmayanad was admitted to the hospital following symptoms of angina.
 

Former union minister Chinmayanand, who has been arrested in connection with sexual assault, has been admitted to a hospital in Uttar Pradesh’s Lucknow. The former Union minister was arrested by the SIT on Sept 20 and sent to 14-day judicial custody.

The woman law student from Uttar Pradesh who had accused BJP leader Chinmayanand has been found along with her friend. The woman was traced to Rajasthan by Uttar Pradesh police.
