On Sunday night, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to Twitter to express his grief over the death of former Chief Election Commissioner TN Seshan

Former chief election commissioner TN Seshan passed away at his Chennai residence earlier today at 9: 30 pm. he was 87. 

In a letter to Chief Election Commissioner, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu alleged that the chief electoral officer of Andhra Pradesh is spreading misinformation and exceeding his jurisdiction. He also said that the CEO warned ADG (Intelligence) not to report to the chief minister.
