Central Pollution Control Board  

Air quality in the national capital deteriorated after a brief respite. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the city's overall air quality index (AQI) read 242 at 4 pm on Tuesday, up from 214 at the corresponding time the previous day.

The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) said that AQI of Delhi was at 171, a significant drop from the AQI of 349 recorded on Wednesday

Delhi recorded its lowest pollution level of this year on Sunday after a spell of rain, but the air quality remained in the 'very poor' category, authorities said

The National Green Tribunal (NGT) has slapped a fine of Rs 50 crore on Karnataka government and has also directed BBMP to pay Rs 25 crore to Central Pollution Control Board CPCB for failure in protecting city lakes and keeping rajakaluves (stormwater drains) clear from encroachments. Namma Bengaluru Foundation has been pursuing the case.

Union minister Harshvardhan said that the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) has constituted a 41-member team, which will continuously monitor the air pollution levels and report to the board
