Ceasefire  

Apart from the Balakot camp, Army chief Bipin Rawat also said, Pakistan uses ceasefire violations in order to push terrorists into India.

With ceasefire violations in Nowshera and Balakote in Jammu and Kashmir, the Indian Army retaliated strongly and effectively to Pakistan's Army on the Line of Control (LoC)

An Indian Army soldier lost his life after Pakistan violated ceasefire by resorting to mortar shelling along the Line of Control (LoC)

A Pakistani troop reportedly resorted to mortar shelling towards Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.

In ceasefire violation, Pakistan troops targeted forward posts around 6.30 am that continued intermittently for several hours long the Line of Control in Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir. Rifleman Mohammad Atif Shafi Alam Khan Pathan succumbed to gunshot. 

According to a defence spokesperson, Pakistani troops violated ceasefire by resorting to unprovoked mortar and small arms firing along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch, Jammu and Kashmir

Sources said that due to damage caused by the Indian forces in the last four months and especially post-Pulwama attack, Pakistani diplomats have requested for military de-escalation along LoC
