Ceasefire Violation  

Sources said that due to damage caused by the Indian forces in the last four months and especially post-Pulwama attack, Pakistani diplomats have requested for military de-escalation along LoC

Since April 25, tension had gripped the tiny village of Sihai in Manipur’s Ukhrul district as NSCN (IM) had violated the ceasefire by setting up an unauthorised camp there.

According to senior officials, Pakistan has been violating ceasefire at least 10 times a day and targeting civilians. The move by Indian forces came a day after a BSF inspector and a five-year-old girl were killed and several others were injured after heavy shelling by Pakistan army in Poonch area.

MyNation has accessed a video that shows a Pakistani base destroyed in Indian firing in the Akhnoor sector of Jammu and Kashmir. In the video, an upside down Pakistan flag can be seen, which is a signal for SOS (extreme danger).

According to reports, Pakistan initiated the unprovoked ceasefire violation around 5.30 am, following which the Indian Army retaliated effectively

Pakistani forces are continuously resorted to heavy shelling and firing mortars mostly targeting civilian areas along the LoC.

The statement by the Indian Army came in response to Pakistan violating the ceasefire agreement for the 13th consecutive day. Pakistan army continues heavy mortar shelling on forward posts along the LoC in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri and Poonch districts.
