Bus Accident  

Bus with at least 40 people fell into a canal near Mandya, killing 25. More than 10 people are washed away in the water, rescue teams are trying to bring them to the shore.

 

A fatal bus accident in Mandya has killed 25 people and more than 15 people are severely injured.

Two children studying at the Government Primary School in Tumakuru, Karnataka, were crossing the road on a bicycle when the private bus hit them.

A government bus driver entered private school premises, damaged a school bus and badly injured two girl students of Class 12. The motive behind the attack is not known yet.

The bus, which was heading to Kolkata, crashed into the cement fencing of a bridge before breaking it and falling into the Dakatia khal canal near Gojarmore at around 9 am, district police chief Sukesh Jain told news agency PTI.
