Blindness  

Under the Societies Registration Act of 1860, the National Society for the Prevention of Blindness Week was established in 1960, with Jawaharlal Nehru and Raj Kumari Amrit Kaur serving as its founding patrons.
 

Ram Kumar has been devotedly working to support visually impaired girls. He has established a small shelter home which offers hostel-like facilities. He offers support from academic assistance to preparation for competitive exams and interviews.

Dattu Agarwal grew up in a life of poverty. At the tender age of 3, he became a victim of blindness. Despite all the challenges, Dattu Agarwal studied till post-graduation and then became a lecturer of Political Science. In memory of his mother, he established a residential school for blind girls where he provides free education.
