BJP’s Rajinder Aggarwal was in Amritsar and spoke to reporters about the Centre’s decision to revoke Article 370. He further stated that the move has been much appreciated across the country. 

The big issues when Maharashtra and Haryana go to poll will be abrogation of Articles 370 and 35A and the economy.

The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) received a bolt from the blue after its lone sitting MLA in Haryana joined the BJP on September 26. SAD hit out at the BJP for inducting Kalanwali MLA Balkaur Singh but the BJP maintained that the relationship between the two parties will be unaffected despite differences. 

Just after Shiromani Akali Dal MLA switched to the BJP, the party has now decided to face the Haryana elections alone. Kalanwali MLA Balkaur Singh joined the Bharatiya Janata Party on September 26.

It is said that Yogeshwar Dutt, who was close to BJP leaders, is likely to contest the Assembly election in one of the constituencies in Haryana 
 

India on Wednesday extended a grant of $150 million as Line of Credit to the member states of the Caribbean Community and Common Market (CARICOM) for climate conservation projects. "Now we have a range of Caribbean communities to call as friends of India. So we (BJP) look at it (PM Modi’s friendly gestures) sailing in the right direction,” BJP's chief spokesperson Krishna Saagar Rao said.

The 23-year-old law student who had accused BJP leader Chinmayanand of rape, has been arrested by a special team probing the case. The arrest was made on charges of extortion. 

The law student who had accused BJP leader Swami Chinmayanand of rape has been handed over to SIT and the Allahabad high court has refused to grant stay with respect to her arrest. Meanwhile, on September 23, Chinmayanad was admitted to the hospital following symptoms of angina.

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat stated that no Hindu will leave the country over the National Register of Citizenship.  Bhagwat is understood to have made the comment during a closed-door coordination meeting here of the RSS and its affiliate organisations, including the BJP.
