Widespread protests have broken out in Kochi, Kottarakara, Kollam and Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala. BJP Mahila Morcha members are protesting at the secretariat in the state capital against the entry of Kanakadurga and Bindu into Sannidhanam on Wednesday.

The controversy surrounding Sabarimala is ever increasing. On December 24, two women tried to enter Sabarimala. There is suspicion on whether one of the women, who is a professor, is linked to naxals. Here is what her students have to say. 

 

On December 23, 11 of Tamil Nadu’s Manithi team’s women had to return following huge protests at Sabarimala. Now, two women wanted to enter the shrine despite huge protests at Chandranandan Road. The police and the Devaswom minister are trying to get the women back to a safe place.

The police had to take the women devotees back due to security issues. Bindu, one of the devotees, said that those who are staging protests are violating the law.
