The devastating train incident at Bahanaga Bazar in Balasore district of Odisha is regarded as the largest train accident witnessed in the past three decades. Following the accident, government agencies promptly initiated a rescue operation. The involvement of 108 Ambulance proved to be pivotal in this extensive and crucial initiative.

With its extensive pre-emptive measures, the Indian Coast Guard has saved precious lives and property as a severe cyclone Yaas made a landfall about 20 kms south of Balasore on the Odisha coast

In his tweet, Congress president Rahul Gandhi said that the plane’s engine developed a snag and he was forced to return to New Delhi. He also said that meetings in Samastipur (Bihar), Balasore (Orissa) & Sangamner (Maharashta) will get delayed.
