Army Day Parade  

The 77th Army Day parade in Pune was a fusion of tradition and innovation, with robotic dogs capturing the attention of attendees at the Bombay Engineering Group (BEG) Centre, Khadki. These state-of-the-art machines showcased India's strides in technological advancement and its integration in the defence sector.

Indian Army Day, celebrated on January 15th, commemorates the appointment of Field Marshal KM Cariappa as the first Indian Commander-in-Chief in 1949. The day honours the army's courage, sacrifice, and commitment to national security through parades, military shows, and gallantry awards.

In a move to make it a technology-enabled force, Indian Army on Friday carried out a live demonstration of drone swarming capability using 75 indigenously designed and developed Unmanned Aerial Vehicles during the 73rd Army Day parade held in Delhi, Anish Singh reports 

She was the first woman parade adjutant for the Army Day parade on January 15 when she led an all-male contingent in the parade at the Cariappa Parade Ground in Delhi Cantonment.
