In spite of his opposition to the views of the Kerala Assembly on the issue of CAA, Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan read out a paragraph against the CAA in his speech at the Kerala Assembly. However, he did issue a caveat saying he doesn’t agree with the views of the Assembly.  

No less a person than the Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan took it upon himself to explain journalist Rajdeep Sardesai that the language he uses on television has the capacity to split the society. 

Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad did not attend a memorial lecture to mark the 9th death anniversary of Congress leader K Karunakaran, just because his son Congress MP K Muraleedharan asked him not to take part in it. Incidentally, the Kerala Governor had expressed his support for CAA and NRC. 

Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan has defended Modi’s move to enact the CAA and invoked Gandhiji’s promise to support his claim.
