Khusan Saidov suffered from enlargement of the thyroid gland due to hypothyroidism. He had undergone a surgery at a hospital in Uzbekistan in 2002. He found his voice back after laser surgery at Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals in New Delhi after 15 years.

The Arumugasamy Commission has filed a counter affidavit in the Supreme Court saying that Apollo Hospitals has motive behind its plea seeking a stay on the probe into the death of former chief minister of Tamil Nadu J Jayalalithaa.

The Supreme Court, in a notice has stayed all proceedings of the Arumughaswamy commission probing the death of former chief minister of Tamil Nadu J Jayalalithaa. This after Apollo Hospitals challenged the Madras high court order on April 4.
