Quit India Movement was launched by Mahatma Gandhi in the year 1942 in Bombay. It was a clarion call by the Mahatma to urge the British to leave the Indian soil at once, but the British did not relent to his call. It is interesting to note that the World War II was in progress at the same time. It is also interesting to note that Gandhi did not receive maximum support from the Indians.
