The central government has announced a state funeral for Ananth Kumar.

Fifty-nine-year-old Ananth Kumar died following multi-organ failure at a private hospital in Bengaluru. He was suffering from cancer.

BJP leaders and party workers paid their final tributes to Ananth Kumar at the party office at Malleshwaram in Bengaluru. Kumar's mortal remains will be kept in the office for one hour and then will be shifted to National College Grounds before cremation.

BJP MLA B Sriramulu expressed his condolences over the death of Union minister HN Ananth Kumar. He said entire Karnataka is upset.

Mortal remains of Ananth Kumar will be shifted to BJP headquarters at Malleshwaram in Bengaluru at 8 PM. People can pay their tribute at National College Grounds from 10 AM on.

The post on 'Mangalore Muslims' Facebook page specified not to mourn Ananth Kumar's death and described him in a derogatory manner. Currently, an FIR has been registered at Mangaluru South Police Station, Karnataka.

Sadananda Gowda said that there were plans to procure new medicine from abroad for Ananth Kumar's treatment. But the BJP leader died before the medicine could reach him.
