Shiv Sena is adamant about Aaditya Thackeray being made the chief minister of Maharashtra, while seeking equal Cabinet berths. Sena MLAs lashed out against Thackeray family's influence in politics. After around three weeks of political drama, President's rule was imposed in Maharashtra on Tuesday.
 

CM candidate from Shiv Sena, Aaditya Thackeray spoke to media and said that the party has sought 48 hours to form the government. The Governor has invited NCP to form the government. The deadline stands at 8.30 pm on Tuesday.

Congress has decided to offer outside support to Shiv Sena-NCP alliance. Thus the deadlock has come to an end in Maharashtra and the coalition will form the government. Aaditya Thackeray and Eknath Shinde of the Shiv Sena are meeting the Governor.

 

Political sources suggest that Shiv Sena, NCP and the Congress are in talks drawing up a power-sharing formula in Maharashtra with Aaditya Thackeray as the CM, NCP getting the DyCM post and Congress bagging the Speaker’s.

Thackeray was speaking while addressing an election rally at Dahanu in Palghar Lok Sabha constituency, where sitting MP Rajendra Gavit seeking re-election. Gavit had quit the BJP and joined the Shiv Sena last month.
