London: The Virat Kohli-led Indian team met the Indian High Commissioner Ruchi Ghanashyam at her residence in London on Friday (June 7) ahead of their ICC World Cup 2019 match against Australia. The players and the support staff including head coach Ravi Shastri interacted with the High Commissioner. The official Twitter handle of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared pictures of the visit. The High Commissioner congratulated the team for winning against South Africa and wished good luck for the rest of the 10-team tournament. India face Australia on Sunday (June 9). Nottingham: Australia wicketkeeper Alex Carey heaped praise on teammate Mitchell Starc as he took five wickets against West Indies on June 6. Thanks to his superb bowling and Nathan Coulter-Nile’s surprise 92-run knock, the five-time world champions won by 15 runs in the ICC World Cup 2019. With next match against India, Carey said they were focusing on Virat Kohli’s team and described Starc as “dangerous” with the new ball.

The ICC World Cup 2019 match between the two sides on June 6, was marred by umpiring errors. After the team’s 15-run victory, Starc interacted with journalists. Starc starred with the ball by taking five wickets.
