Google is set to release a new feature named 'Listen to this page' for Chrome users on Android, which will let them listen to any webpage in the language and voice of their choice. According to reports by 9to5 Google, this new feature will soon be made available for all stable users.

The feature can be used by tapping the three-dot menu in the Chrome Android application and tapping the 'Listen to this page' option. The feature lets users listen to the whole webpage in podcast style, pause, play, rewind, fast-forward, and skip 10 seconds.

Currently, Google has rolled out four voice options to choose from: the first is Ruby (mid-pitch, warm), the second is River (mid-pitch, bright), the third is Field (low-pitch, bright), and the last one is Moss (low-pitch, peaceful). As for languages, the options are English, Hindi, Bengali, Chinese, Arabic, French, Japanese, Indonesian, German, Portuguese, Spanish, and Russian.

However, the 'Listen to this page' feature is not for all web pages, only for those websites that support it. If a website does not support the new feature, the three dots won't show it in the options. While Chrome users already had the option to listen to the webpage via Google Assistant, the 'Listen to this page' feature makes it more customizable for users with different voices, languages, and more. As per 9to5Google, the feature was spotted by them in version 125 of the Android Chrome application. This feature is already available for iOS users in the Safari web browser. The feature allows users to listen to the webpage in Siri's voice.
