India's warmup game in Essex saw Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli bringing the tension a notch down but letting their inherent Punjabi spirit up front
In a breath of fresh air in a high strung atmosphere of upcoming India vs England Test series, fans on saturday saw the members of the Indian team letting their hair down.

Fielding for a day and then coming to the pitch, in a three day match, saw Kohli and Dhawan walking in with Bhangra in their steps and men playing dhol on their flanks. While Dhawan got out on a duck, Kohli, Murali Vijay, KL Rahul, Dinesh Karthik and Hardik Pandya managed to get half centuries. On the bowling front, Umesh Yadav picked up four wickets and Ishant Sharma added to his account three.
Reportedly the fans were unhappy with the Indian team's decision to cut the 4 day match short by a day. The fans were also unhappy with the limited interaction between the Indian side and the crowd.
However, the Indian team was very happy with the efforts put in by the Essex staff and were appreciative of the quality time younger players could spend training alongside veterans like Kohli.
The India England series is one of high pressure since India toured England in 2014 to play in all formats and lost the Test series 3-1 while England upon touring India in 16/ 17 for a 5 match series lost the test series 4-0.
