Sydney: The on-field banter in the ongoing India-Australia Test has certainly not remained on the ground as young wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant has taken rival captain Tim Paine’s challenge seriously!

And, the fans love it. In what was a perfect start for cricket fans on New Year, a picture has gone viral where Pant is seen carrying Paine’s baby along with the Australian skipper’s wife holding another of her baby.

On Tuesday, Paine’s wife Bonnie Paine shared this beautiful image on her Instagram page with the captain reading, “Best babysitter @rishabpant”.

It was during the third Test in Melbourne that Paine had targeted Rishabh asking him whether he can babysit at his place while the skipper took his wife Bonnie to a movie.

While Rishabh was batting in the second innings, Paine was caught on the stump mic saying, "Tell you what big MS (Dhoni) is back in the one day squad. Should get this bloke down to (Hobart) Hurricanes. They need a batter.

"Fancy that extend your Aussie holiday, beautiful town Hobart too... get him a water front apartment.

"Have him over for dinner.

"Do you babysit? I can take my wife to the movies while you watch the kids."

Rishabh too did not hold back and when it was Paine’s turn to bat at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), he called him “temporary captain”.

Ahead of the fourth and final Test in Sydney, Rishabh met Paine’s family.

Even the International Cricket Council (ICC) shared the image of Rishabh carrying Paine’s baby and captioned it, “Tim Paine to @RishabPant777 at Boxing Day Test: "You babysit? I'll take the wife to the movies one night, you'll look after the kids?" *Challenge accepted!* (sic).”

India hold a 2-1 lead in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. They won the first and the third Tests in Adelaide and Melbourne respectively. The hosts triumphed in Perth. The Test rubber will be followed by three ODIs starting on January 12.
