The 2024 Paris Olympics mark another milestone for India. Abhinav Bindra, an Olympic shooting medallist, has been honoured with the Olympic Order Award. On Monday, the International Olympic Committee awarded Bindra with their highest honour for his significant contributions to the Olympic Movement. The official awarding ceremony will be held during the Paris Olympics. Union Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya expressed joy and congratulated Bindra on receiving the IOC honour.

Sports Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya congratulated Abhinav Bindra on X (Twitter). Dr Mandaviya posted on the social media platform, celebrating Bindra's achievement. He wrote: "Congratulations to Abhinav Bindra on being awarded the Olympic Order for outstanding contributions to the Olympic Movement! His achievement fills us with pride and is truly well deserved. His name alone has inspired generations of shooters and Olympians.”

Since retiring from professional shooting, Bindra has been actively promoting young athletes and has made significant contributions to the development of sports. The IOC has announced that Abhinav Bindra will be honoured at the Paris Olympics 2024 for his dedication to sports.
