Sobhita Dhulipala is now engaged with Telugu superstar Naga Chaitanya! The couple got engaged in a private ceremony at Nagarjuna's Hyderabad residence on August 8. The fans are extremely happy for the couple as they have finally made their relationship official. Now all are excited to see the couple tie the knot and start a new chapter together. 

In an old interview with News18, Sobhita talked about her dream wedding and her plans for the future. Talking about her big day, she said, “All I know is that I want a lot of Telugu-ness to be in it. I’m from Andhra Pradesh. So, I’m quite attached to that culture. Growing up, I’ve seen my cousins have weddings with those kinds of rituals and cultural nuances. I would like these things to be a part of my wedding too. I like that sense of traditionality. That aside, I don’t know if I want it to be big and grand or intimate and close-knit."

Sobhita also shared her experience with weddings and how they are 'overwhelming' for her. Recalling her sister's wedding in February 2023, she said, “We had family friends, relatives, neighbors and well-wishers to give their regards. You know that you’re going to enter a new phase of your life and it will hopefully be beautiful. But that shift and shedding of one layer brought so much of anxiety.” She added, “On the surface, you’ve to be pleasant because they all mean well but there are so many layers and emotions you go through. At weddings, the atmosphere is so charged and high on energy. It took me a while to actually process it because it was a blur and very hectic.”

Hours after Chaitanya and Sobhita's engagement, Nagarjuna took to his X (formerly Twitter) account and made a post congratulating the couple and welcoming Sobhita to the family. He wrote, "We are delighted to announce the engagement of our son, Naga Chaitanya, to Sobhita Dhulipala, which took place this morning at 9:42 a.m.!! We are overjoyed to welcome her into our family. Congratulations to the happy couple! Wishing them a lifetime of love and happiness. God bless! 8.8.8 A beginning of infinite love."

Naga Chaitanya was previously married to actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu. The duo tied the knot in 2017 and got separated in 2021. After several months of separation, Naga Chaitanya started dating Sobhita.
