The Karnataka unit of BJP has alleged that the Kumaraswamy-led coalition government has diverted funds meant for development works and used it for election purposes
Bengaluru: The Karnataka BJP unit has alleged that the HD Kumaraswamy-led coalition government has neither released funds to schools under the Right to Education Act (RTE) nor has it ordered uniforms to be given to government school students.
The unit alleges that that funds meant for the same have been diverted for the purpose of elections and related issues.
“Former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda says that no-due certificates will be issued in the next 6 months. This means it will take 6 more months for things to settle. Having said that, we are yet to know if it will happen in 6 months or take more time,” said Shreenath Sheshadri, a BJP spokesperson.
The coalition government came into existence last year after BS Yeddyurappa failed to prove his majority. Since then, the coalition government has experienced tumult on many occasions. In fact, HD Kumaraswamy has even wept tears on many occasions, openly confessing that he is unable to take the coalition along. And it is no secret that there is massive rebellion in the coalition ranks.
The BJP further alleges that that CM has spent more time in launching his son in Mandya than carrying out his duties. Moreover, it adds that the government has not done enough to alleviate sufferings of the poor.
“There is no doubt that the state government is ineffective. It has had the longest honeymoon period of 8 months. In the name of farmer loan wavier, they have diverted funds for elections. It his high time it pulled up its socks,” adds Shreenath Sheshadri.
It might be recalled that even during the Lok Sabha seat sharing issue, there were a lot of frayed tempers among coalition members. The BJP says it has led to “administrative anarchy”
