Space Kidz India launches NSLV as a tribute to former CM Jayalalithaa

Chennai: Students of Space Kidz India launched a Near Space Launch Vehicle (NSLV)at a function held on Sunday. The 7th series of NSLV was a tribute to former chief minister Jayalalithaa on the event of her 71st birth anniversary.

Space Kidz India collaborated with Crescent college to launch the “NSLV CrescentSAT”. The highlight of the mission was a payload developed by Space Kidz India’s sub-junior team lead “Master Pratik” to monitor the atmospheric temperature during the flight time. 

The chief guest for the launch was Uma Maheshwaran, Scientific Secretary, ISRO.

The balloon was 1200gms, white creamy and was attached to a parachute and a payload, which was launched at 9.45am from Space Port India, a private Space at Siruseri, OMR.

The mission includes atmospheric study, finding various gasses present in the upper atmosphere to study about pollution and a remote sensing system to study the health and density of vegetation.

Space is the future and India is going ahead with multiple launches and the most important this year will be the Chandrayan and Gaganyan, the pride of our Country. Hence, Space Kidz India is working towards creating awareness among school and college students. Space Kidz India has planned a sequence of the balloon, Suborbital and Orbital launches. “Vikram Sat”, will be the most important mission of SKI.
