New Delhi: Is it possible to boost 37 retweets to a whopping 1,798 in a second? If you are Rahul Gandhi, you can very well perform that magic. Or more precisely, have it performed to show the extent of support he and the Congress has on social media.Â
This refers to a tweet by the Congress president in which he keeps on ranting about what he calls the "Rafale scam", telling the youth of the country that "everyday there are new revelations about Rafale issue that make it clear that the PM helped his friend Anil Ambani steal Rs 30,000 crore of your money". The video here shows how the retweets on this tweet magnified manifold in the blink of an eye, clearly with the help of computer programmes that can multiply tweets in no time.Â
At the time of writing this copy, the retweets had crossed 4,000. The Congress chief keeps on mounting allegations of cheating by the Modi government though even the Supreme Court found no substance in those allegations. But if what Rahul has done with his tweet doesn't fall in the category of cheating, what would? The Congress president should have exercised greater restraint throwing stones at others when he himself lives in a glass house.
