New Delhi: Two days before the first phase of the Chhattisgarh elections, Congress president Rahul Gandhi took to Instagram to attack the BJP government in a rather bizzare fashion.
Gandhi posted a photo of him along with a Prime Minister Narendra Modi lookalike. He wrote, “Look who I found campaigning for the Congress Party in Chhattisgarh”.
The Modi doppelganger, Abhinandan Pathak, was first spotted during the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. Gandhi posted two photos with Pathak, and the post has gone viral on social media.
In the photos, Pathak is seen wearing a ‘Modi jacket’ and a tricolour muffler. However, instead of the lotus badge, Pathak donned the Congress badge on his jacket.
Launching a scathing attack on the Opposition, Chhattisgarh CM Raman Singh said that the Congress was ‘sort of an entertainment’ for the people of the state.
“Rahul does not know anything about Chhattisgarh. People of Chhattisgarh do not take him seriously. He is sort of an entertainment for them," Singh told PTI in an interview.
