Vizianagaram: Man committed suicide depressed over the fact that his partner was not good looking. Groom committed suicide on the third day after marriage on Tuesday at Babametta in Andhra Pradesh.

Two Town CI BVJ Raju said, Sheik Matheen worked as a VRO in Pedanadipalli, Cheepurupalli mandal. He was married on September 2nd to Mohamood Mubina from Saluru, Railway Colony, Visakhapatnam.

On the same evening, the couple came to Singapore city, Vizianagaram. The groom's mother came to know that her son was unhappy with the marriage and she asked her son about it. He reportedly said to her that his wife was not beautiful and had blackheads on her face. Then his mother took Mubina to a dermatologist for treatment. But still, Matheen was unhappy.

On Tuesday night, while all were getting ready for the wedding reception, Matheen went to his friend's house in Babametta and hanged himself in his friend's place. His mother, cousins and his friends tried reaching him on his phone. But there was no use. He was taken to a nearby private hospital, but he was already dead.

According to the CI, Matheen's mother said that Mubina's family cheated them by showing a different girl before the marriage and due to that her son committed suicide. The police filed a case and have started probing the matter.
