Deepak Pinto, who purchased the desserts from Karachi Bakery, noticed worms wriggling out from them.
Hyderabad: Deepak Pinto, a resident of Ameerpet, purchased chocolate sweets from Karachi Bakery in Hyderabad and found worms wriggling out from them. The customer, who found the insects, shared the images on Twitter, following which the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) officials raided the shop on Tuesday.
The customer Deepak Pinto noticed a white powdered substance on top of a few desserts and identified worms wriggling out from the other and they were all found allegedly within the expiry date.

Deepak, later shared the news with his friend Donita Jose, who posted it on Twitter with the images and said, "Happy wormy Diwali from @KarachiBakery

While the Tweet went viral on social media, the GHMC commissioner Hari Chandana replied to it ordering an immediate probe. On Tuesday, the food safety officials raided the bakery and levied Rs 25,000 fine on it.
