Anand Mahindra, chairman of the Mahindra group shared a picture of Kerala flood and termed it as the best example of unity in India.

A journalist from Punjab was seen hugging a man, stranded in Kerala floods while taking him to safety. The image of this was tweeted by Anand Mahindra who wrote that this is the India that makes him proud.

Kerala floods have made 14 lakh people homeless leading to the death of nearly 300 people.  The deluge destroyed the homes, flora and fauna, killed animals and left major part of the state with very less to identify anything including roads.

Further speaking about the floods and victims, Anand Mahindra also appreciated Kerala chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan's decision to not only re-build Kerala but also build new, modern, infrastructure. He told that the entire country will join hands in doing so.

Kerala is receiving help not only from Malayalees all over the world but also from the entire country, even foreign countries including UAE (Rs 700 crore), Qatar, Maldives.
