Kerala: Corpse of unidentified woman found floating in River Periyar

Kochi: Citizens of Kochi were shocked to the see the corpse of an unidentified woman (aged around 30 years) floating in the River Periyar, with a stone tied to it. The incident came to light on Tuesday evening. Â
Not ruling out the angle of murder, the Kochi Police have prima facie found out that the corpse was left hanging to a tree, before it was found afloat.
In order to ascertain the identity of the deceased, the police have begun perusing the file related missing complaints in the nearby police stations.
