Karnataka: United Bengaluru requests 'tree doctor' Vijay Nishanth to conduct census in city (Video)

While a Bengaluru Development Authority report states that around 812 trees will be cut down for the construction of a steel flyover in the city, a detailed report by the Azim Premji University report states that as many as 2,400 trees will be cut down. 'Tree doctor' Vijay Nishanth conducted a tree census at the BDA Shopping Complex, Indiranagar, to enlighten the residents of Bengaluru on the same. He also conducted a detailed workshop to demonstrate what species the trees belong to. To ascertain the health of the trees, Nishanth measures the length and girth of each and notes down the locations of the plants.
