KJ George, Minister for IT and Large Industries, government of Karnataka, is accused of swindling Rs 40 crore through his firm Zonta Infratech Pvt Limited. Bengaluru city BJP spokesperson NR Ramesh filed a complaint with Lokayukta, Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) and Bengaluru Metropolitan Task Force (BMTF) accusing Karnataka IT Minister KJ George of Rs 40 crore fraud through his company. Ramesh said that George's company got garbage contract as he was the district in-charge minister for Bengaluru. He alleged that the cost of the project was inflated to benefit the company. Since the then CM Siddaramaiah did not take any action against George, he too is responsible, Ramesh said.
