Karnataka: Forest fire in Bandipur Tiger Reserve destroys acres of land

Chamarajanagar: Â A major forest fire broke out in Chamarajanar's Bandipur Tiger Reserve, on Saturday, destroying several acres of land. The wildfire spread across Gopalaswamy Betta range, Kundakere and Bandipur Tiger Reserve aided by strong winds.
According to reports, no casualties were reported. The tiger reserve covers more than 87,000 hectares along with the Nagarahole National Park and the Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary.
